Bound to the hardware

License keys are issued against a specific hardware identity, taken from the system board’s own information. Reinstalling the operating system or swapping a network card does not void the license.

Offline activation

The device never contacts a license server. The flow:

1. Open the license page in the device interface and copy the hardware identity.
2. Send that identity to us. No configuration or traffic data travels with it.
3. Upload the key file we send back. Status goes active immediately, no reboot.

A limit worth knowing

Virtual machines can be cloned, and an offline scheme has no way to detect that. We state it here because you are entitled to know where the mechanism ends, rather than discovering it later.

At expiry

The device keeps running and traffic keeps flowing. What stops is access to the update path and support coverage. Nothing shuts down because of a date.

Reissuing a key

Hardware failed and was replaced? The key is reissued at no charge. Send the new hardware identity.
